Family owned since 1897
The St. Anna Pharmacy, which has been managed by Dr. Peter von Aufschnaiter since 1997, can look back on over 120 years of pharmacy tradition as a long-established Bolzano family business. Since its foundation in 1897 by great-grandfather Paul, the pharmacy has seen itself as a "competence centre" and meeting place for health and a healthy lifestyle - now in its fourth generation of pharmacists.
The symbol of the pharmacy is the holy St. Anna, a clay figure enthroned on a gallery. It is the work of the South Tyrolean sculptor Maria Delago.
The "longest tooth" of Bolzano
A curiosity is the 1.8 metre long tusk of a narwhal exhibited in the pharmacy. Countless myths have always been entwined around the history and the salutary effect of the unicorn.
